Treat Your Loved One to Beautiful Jewellery for Less at Pixmania

Pixmania.ie may not be the first website that you think of when shopping online for jewellery, but one look at the fantastic range of rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings available and you're unlikely to shop anywhere else in future.

The Rose and Kara brand is the result of collaboration between Pixmania.ie and a family of prestigious diamond merchants in Antwerp. Featuring high quality diamonds and precious stones, set in elegant and sophisticated designs, a Rose and Kara piece is sure to be gratefully received and treasured forever.

While it's lovely to treat those closest to you to something special every now and again, cost can be an issue. We'd all love to shower our most special people with diamonds and jewels but the prices in high street jewellers can soon put a stop to that well-intended idea.

The Rose and Kara range at Pixmania offers the same level of quality as a high-end jewellers - but without the high price tag to match. You can even lower Pixmania jewellery prices even further by picking up a promo code from 5HOP5.ie before you shop.

Whether you're buying for your wife, girlfriend, sister, friend, mum or anyone else, you're sure to find something suitably gorgeous, and within budget, at Pixmania.

Here are some of my favourite pieces that any woman would delight in owning:

Earrings

Earrings are probably my most worn type of jewellery, particularly for evenings out and special occasions. They frame your face and add that special touch to your evening look, without interfering with the neckline or style of your clothing like a necklace can. You also don't need to worry about snagging earrings on your tights, which is something I seem to be forever doing when I wear bracelets or rings.

There's an amazing range of simple diamond stud earrings at Pixmania.ie, in a whole manner of different styles, cuts, sizes and settings. Available set on white or yellow gold, I firmly believe that every woman should have a beautiful and versatile pair of simple diamond studs in her jewellery box.

For something with a touch more wow factor however, drop earrings always look stunning. I especially love the jewel drop earrings surrounded by a ring of dainty diamonds, which you can get in bright blue topaz, demure smoky quartz and sophisticated purple amethyst.

Necklaces

A beautiful necklace is a romantic choice to give a loved one as it will sit forever close to their heart. Rose and Kara at Pixmania has a stunning range of different designs, each featuring stunning, high quality diamonds. You'll be faced with the difficult decision of deciding between heart shaped settings, solitaires, coloured jewels surrounded by diamonds and pearl details.

I particularly love the Rose and Kara diamond and gold bezel heart necklace which is simple yet stunning and adds that subtle touch of romance to a diamond solitaire. It's a timeless design that could be worn with any outfit, anywhere.

Rings

Cocktail style rings are firmly in fashion, so if your loved one is a fan of pretty hand candy why not treat her to the real deal? The Rose and Kara white gold diamond and sapphire ring is sure to thrill any lady who loves a sophisticated look, as would the stunningly simple white gold diamond heart ring.

Bracelets

A pretty bracelet is sure to be worn again and again, and the Rose and Kara range of simple chain bracelets can be worn with any outfit, from the most casual to the most formal.

Each one consists of a basic chain bracelet in either yellow or white gold, adorned with your choice of diamond detail. These include circles, stars, a star of David, hearts and squares - so there's something to suit the personality of every lucky recipient.

Each item sold in the Rose and Kara range comes beautifully packed in a stylish black box and gift bag. Simple add a bow for the perfect finishing touch and you have a gift that you're sure to be excited to give.

The range of gorgeous, quality jewellery at Pixmania.ie is staggering, and you're sure to have difficulty choosing just one piece. Whether you're buying for a friend, a female relative or that certain special someone in your life, make sure that you get the most for your money with a 5HOP5 discount code, and enjoy the priceless look on your loved ones face when you hand over the gift.

Derby is a small city but, at just 20 minutes from East Midlands airport, shouldn't be overlooked as a great place to spend a weekend. It's a fantastic place to shop as you have the vast Westfield centre and the cute, independent shops of Saddler Gate a mere five minute walk from each other.

What Type of Swimwear Will You Go For at Debenhams.ie?

Now that Christmas is a mere distant memory, many of us are looking forward to the summer, and in particular, our summer holidays. There's nothing better than that week or two spent in the sun, lazing on the beach or by the pool, with a cocktail in one hand and a good book in the other.

Whether you're planning a trip to Brighton or Barbados, it's often the 'getting away' that counts for more than the destination. That rare opportunity to forget about work and the stresses of domestic life for a blissful chunk of time comes around once or twice a year, if we are lucky, and we want to make the most of it.

Looking and feeling good is important when it comes to enjoying your time away, particularly when opting for a beach holiday where it's likely that you'll be spending the majority of your time in swimwear. If you don't feel confident then you're likely to feel uncomfortable and spend your time worrying about how you look rather than spending it enjoying yourself and relaxing.

Debenhams.ie has an amazing of selection of swimwear for you to choose from this year, with something to suit every size, shape and style. Before you go shopping, don't forget to head to shopping deals website 5HOP5.ie for a Debenhams voucher code, and you'll have more cash to splash at the pool bar when you get there!

Whether you're a one piece woman or a bikini kinda girl, there's plenty of choice for you to fill your suitcase with.

Here are some of my favourites:

One Piece

One piece swimsuits are great for those who don't feel very confident with their tummy area. They provide great body coverage and can be very flattering, but that doesn't mean that they can't be sexy, cute or cool too.

My favourite Debenhams' brand for cuteness is Floozie by Frost French, which has some super cute one pieces for girly girls. The green polka dot bandeau swimsuit is fresh and sweet, whereas the blue floral frill swimsuit ups the pretty factor to record levels.

If you want coverage without losing your cool, Red Herring do a fantastically funky purple graphic stripe cutaway swimsuit, which won't look out of place at the coolest beach or pool parties. Just add huge shades and a stack of bangles and you're ready to see and be seen.

Alternatively, the dark turquoise bandeau swimsuit from beach by Melissa Odabash proves that you can be sexy in a swimsuit. With a daring colour, gold detailing and padded bust this one piece has some serious va va voom - with handy hidden tummy control to add an extra shot of confidence poolside.

Bikini

The bikini is the most popular option for those wanting an all over tan who don't mind getting their white bits out. Great for the young, the body confident and those who like to throw caution (and kaftans) to the wind on holiday, there's a bikini to suit every style, if not every body.

Some of the cutest designs this season are in Debenhams' own Ultimate Beach Collection, with my favourite being the navy bird print. There's also a cutesy white rose spot design, cool nautical stripes and red and white Minnie mouse polka dots in the collection, making it a great one stop shop to cover all moods for a fortnight!

If you favour looking cool over looking cute then the pink neon stripe bikini by Caprice can take you from beach to club with the addition of a simple black mini-dress and a pair of wedges.

Caprice is also a great brand to turn to for a sexy look, and the white bikini with gold trim would have you looking sizzling on that sun-lounger.

Whatever your style, whether you like to work the cute, cool or sexy look, Debehams has a great selection of swimwear to choose from this summer season. Just make sure that you remember to grab a discount voucher from 5HOP5.ie before you embark on a swimwear spree.

Swimsuit or bikini, you're sure to look amazing when lounging by the pool or on the beach if you feel confident in your new swimwear. With Debenhams amazing collection, including designers at Debenhams, you're sure to find your perfect companion for fun in the sun on your precious annual summer holiday.

Web Next Steps

Brian Kearns from 24.7 Online Conversions takes a look at Web 1.0, Web 2.0 and the future of Web 3.0

Web 1.0

According to Tim Bernes-Lee Web 1.0 was a search and read only iliteration of the web.  It was the first step to an open un-policed environment where if you wanted information on any given topic at any given time you could search for it and attempt to communicate about this topic.

Essential the key point was information was there to be searched, the question is did people develop the skills to search the information required, did we become search experts?  If you are familiar with the following phrases or sites (take directly from web 2.0) then maybe you did, Bitcoin, BTJunkie.org, Piratebay, Boolean Operators, Readers, RSS Feeds, Hashtags Silkroad perhaps you did.

The web has developed much like the earth as we know almost all life inhabits the crust but perhaps some people have developed skills to search beyond the simple surface layer.

Web 2.0

Brian Kearns comments that Web 2.0 was interaction which ultimately evolved into Social and Marketing, it’s a case of being bombarded with information from a variety of advertisers who have collected vast amounts of data using complex algorithms in an attempt to understand your interests.  It is also about policing and removing search as now information comes flooding to you though a variety of sources, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Xing, RSS feeds, Likes, Share Recommendations, Tags, @, hashtags, mobile.

Web 2.0 is about collecting data on you, your interests, your friends, your job, your network, your holiday, your dreams, and large corporations sell this information or use it to evaluate you.

In this corporate theocracy there are few who remain uninfluenced and we can see from recent events when a threat arises to these massive organisations as with the SOPA act, they are more than willing to put aside competition to bend the will of governments.

There are those who will always resist and have an alternative agenda, Anonymous for example in some quarters is viewed as a modern Robin Hood.

Before we move onto to Web 3.0 it is important to highlight why there will always be a place for groups like Anonymous as long as multination corporations like Facebook, Google and Linkedin police the web (see Facebook policies on images of women breast feeding) there will always be a need for people and groups to counter these restrictions.

Web 3.0

Unfortunately web 3.0 is not going to reinvigorate the vision of an open free arena where freedom is speech is valued above all else, instead it is going to become better enabled to control and police your search, semantic web will understand the connections between you and your network and interests. This will make it easier to advertisers to target you.  Instead of targeting you through data analysis they will being to target you through your friends, interests and as Psychological research shows people are far likely to purchase a product if it recommended to them by a trusted associate or friend.

The web is still a place for innovation and growth, but one has wonder does this environment really provide the best platform for growth innovation and creativity or are we moving toward a more sterile environment where radicals become marginalised?
